DESCRIPTION:Stronger Practice Hub Event \nThis full-day course is designed to support Early Years Practitioners and Teachers who are new to the EYFS framework in schools. Linked to the DfE’s Best Start in Life vision\, the session focuses on the importance of high-quality early education\, strong relationships and effective practice in helping every child thrive and develop positive foundations for future learning. \nParticipants will explore the core principles of the EYFS\, including the four overarching themes\, the Characteristics of Effective Learning\, the Prime Areas of Learning\, and the EYFS educational programmes. SUMMARY:Talking About Babies: Mental Health and Wellbeing with Sarah Clarke
DESCRIPTION:Stronger Practice Hub Event \nWe will explore the importance of infant mental health and wellbeing\, and how this impacts their current and lifelong development and relationships (“being” and “becoming” mentally healthy). Together we will share ideas and discuss ways to support the babies in early years settings to promote their mental health and development. \nAbout Sarah Clarke\nSarah Clarke is a Specialist Health Visitor for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health in Sirona Public Health Nursing. For the last 3 years she has been the workstream lead for Perinatal Mental Health and Parent Infant Relationships with Bristol Family Hubs. She is passionate about supporting practitioners across our workforce to increase awareness and understanding about the importance of parent-infant relationships in the first 1001 days. Supporting services across the system to understand the value of their role in supporting babies and parents/carers with these important early relationships\, is essential to providing the foundation for lifelong health and development. \n\n    This training is for early years practitioners and leaders working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area (Bristol\, Bath and North East Somerset\, Swindon\, Wiltshire\, Somerset\, North Somerset\, Gloucestershire\, South Gloucestershire).
