Over the day\, we will cover the timeline of behavioural incidents\, helping you to know what to do before\, during and after behaviour happens. We will cover all of the behaviours you might see in Early Years settings. \nThroughout the day\, you will learn about trauma-informed practice\, attachment\, SEND and sensory needs\, the PACE approach\, co-regulation\, relationship mapping and much\, much more. DESCRIPTION:Stronger Practice Hub Event \nThis CPD Programme involves three 2-hour online sessions\, and you will be required to attend all three. \nWednesday 4th November 2026 – 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm\nWednesday 18th November 2026 – 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm\nWednesday 2nd December 2026 – 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm \nThis programme will explore getting it right for two-year-olds in early years settings. They will support educators to look at provision through the eyes of the two-year-old\, reflecting upon the unique child\, positive relationships\, enabling environments and learning and development. The sessions will provide opportunities to reflect upon aspects of the day with children’s rights in mind\, including the daily routines\, mindful care and supporting play. \nThis training is for educators who are new to working with two-year-olds\, those who haven’t done training specifically about being with two-year-olds or those wanting a refresher on getting in right with twos. It is a great basis for talking with twos\, tuning in to twos and inspiring provision for two-year-olds. \n\n    This training is for early years practitioners and leaders working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area (Bristol\, Bath and North East Somerset\, Swindon\, Wiltshire\, Somerset\, North Somerset\, Gloucestershire\, South Gloucestershire). DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our Baby Practitioner Network Meeting\, which is open to anyone working with babies (e.g.\, nurseries\, childminders\, PVI settings) in Somerset. \nBaby Practitioner Networks provide a lively and dynamic opportunity for professional conversations around the needs of our youngest learners. \nEach meeting involves an opportunity for discussion\, sharing celebrations\, problem-solving as a group\, and sharing recent research and articles. \nLouise Hannan from University Centre Somerset College Group is going to be joining us to share insights into a project that explores the experiences of babies attending early years settings from the babies’ perspective. \nA Day in the Life of the Baby Room: Exploring the Environment Through the Eyes of the Child \nThe early years of a child’s life are critical for cognitive\, emotional\, and social development. In the England\, the increasing number of babies attending nursery and daycare settings has prompted both academic and policy interest in the quality and accessibility of early childhood education and care (ECEC). Recent government reforms\, particularly the expansion of funded childcare entitlements for children as young as nine months\, have intensified debates around the adequacy of provision\, workforce capacity\, and the lived experiences of infants in these settings. This project explores the experiences of the children attending a setting and a provision\, from the child’s perspective. \nNote: This Network meeting is for early years practitioners and childminders in Somerset only.
