This online session will help you support children and young people in understanding the different emotions they experience, why they occur, and how to handle them. We will consider Emotion Coaching as a strategy for supporting children’s behaviour and self-regulation and highlight research that demonstrates the value of an emotion coaching approach. There will be opportunities to explore the tools to practice emotion coaching with children.

Introduction to Trauma and Adversity

This session will offer time and space to have an awareness of ACES and protective factors, to understand the neuroscience behind trauma and how this impacts a child and to build your confidence in using a therapeutic response.

Parking
St. Pauls Children’s Centre: There is no on-site parking but parking is available on the road for £1 an hour for a maximum of 3 hours, or in Cabot Circus which is 5-minute walk from the St. Pauls Children’s Centre.
