Stronger Practice Hub Event
Would you like to explore and develop your Equality, Diversity and Inclusion practice? What do we mean by EDI? What role can Early Years professionals and childminders play in promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion with a particular focus on race, culture, and gender identity?
This taster session will introduce you to EDI and encourage you to start a journey of self-discovery and increased awareness in a safe space. It will touch on how our values and experiences influence our practice, how we should seek to know and understand the identities of the unique child, family and community and how we can use this knowledge to influence change and develop practice in our settings.
After this taster session, you will have the opportunity to continue your journey and sign up for our EDI bundle, which involves three sessions. These sessions will go into more depth and involve more discussion and reflection over a period of time.
This session is for Early Years Practitioners. We are running another EDI Taster session for Childminders.
Part of this event may be recorded.
This training is for early years practitioners and leaders working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area (Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Somerset, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire). We will also prioritise settings and childminders in areas of deprivation.
