Stronger Practice Hub Event
This session is for Early Years Practitioners in settings and schools in our SPH area.
This online course will support you to embed the Early Years Foundation Stage in your setting or school while ensuring that children and families are at the heart of good practice. It will cover three areas:
Session 1: Principles of EYFS on Monday 3rd February
We will explore the four themes of EYFS, Characteristics of Effective Learning, and Prime areas and will make reference to the new early learning goals and reformed educational programmes in the EYFS.
Session 2: Observation, assessment and planning on Monday 10th February
We will consider the principles of effective observational assessment and how this supports planning that supports all children to be motivated lifelong learners.
Session 3: The Role of the Adult and an Enabling Environment on Monday 24th February
We will learn more about the key person approach, the importance of relationship-based practice, and how to develop an effective learning environment.
Ali Carrington (SPH and Bristol EYs Consultant) and Anna Morgan (Bristol EYs Consultant) will facilitate this training.
You must attend all three sessions.
This training is for early years practitioners and leaders working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area (Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Somerset, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire). We will also prioritise settings and childminders in areas of deprivation.
