Planning an Inspiring Outdoor Environment – Outdoor Learning Workshop (Swindon)

April 24 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm BST

Free

Stronger Practice Hub Event

In these outdoor workshops, we will be networking, reflecting, discussing, learning and exploring hands-on what makes a good outdoor environment. You will leave with plenty of ideas to take back and influence developing the outdoors in your setting.

Planning an Inspiring Outdoor Environment

Early years practitioners and childminders!

Are you confident working outdoors with children?

Does your outdoor provision cover all the areas for learning for the EYFS?

Are your children inspired and enthused and have a sense of awe and wonder when then venture outside?

Would you like to reflect and plan your outdoor provision further?

Create a vision board of how you would aspire to make changes.

Come along with an open mind for hands-on learning and exploring good outdoor environments. We will discuss, network, consider and share ideas with each other.

We will explore the environment being the third teacher, ensuring we place as much thought, care and attention to the outside as we do in the inside. We will use our senses to stimulate curiosity, imagination, discovery, creativity, awe and wonder. We will consider how we can apply this to children’s learning and play in the outdoors meeting the needs of children under 3.

These practical sessions will be delivered outdoors regardless of the weather, so please dress appropriately.

Please Note: This training day is for early years practitioners working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area. There are 30 places available and no more than two places per setting. We will prioritise settings and childminders in areas of deprivation. Places will be confirmed two weeks before the event.

If this event is sold out, you can email sph@beyth.co.uk and ask to be added to the reserve list. Please tell us your setting name and postcode.

Unfortunately you are NOT able to bring your children along to these sessions. They are for Early Years practitioners and childminders only.
