Stronger Practice Hub Event

Join us for this online workshop exploring what reflective and responsive provision for 2-year-olds looks like. We will explore:

  • Knowing yourself and children as learners
  • Understanding the Observation, Assessment and Planning cycle as a holistic process
  • Deepening reflective practice to respond effectively to individual children
  • To explore the statutory responsibilities in relation to assessment, including the progress check at age 2
  • To unpick ‘intent, implementation and impact’ in practice

This session will be delivered by Cassie Holland and Rachel Pirie.

Rachel Pirie is a Lead Teacher in Bristol, Birth-3 Local Specialist Leader for Bristol Early Years Teaching Hub. She is based at St Pauls Nursery School.

Cassie Holland is a Birth-3 Local Specialist Leader for Bristol Early Years Teaching Hub, Birth-3 Network Leader for the B&B SPH and a Manager at Archfield House Nursery in Bristol.

This training is for early years practitioners and leaders working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area (Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Somerset, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire). We will also prioritise settings and childminders in areas of deprivation.
