This whole day, face-to-face course will support you to embed the Early Years Foundation Stage in your school whilst ensuring that children and families are at the heart of good practice.

This session will explore inspiring provision for babies in settings, the influence of your visions and values on provision for babies and what real noticing looks like as a leader of a baby room. We will consider what builds to inspiring planning for babies’ learning, including reflections on schemas, getting outside the setting and exploring babies’ communities. This session is for leaders of settings with babies, leaders of baby rooms or aspiring baby room leaders.

Together, we will hear about the St Pauls' Curriculum journey, see how it promotes our values and pedagogy, understand how it reflects the interests and special characteristics of our children and families and reflect on how it is integrated into observation, assessment and planning.

Block Play is a fundamental and integral part of early childhood education. So open-ended and full of endless possibilities! This will be a first-hand, hands-on, experiential session with opportunities to playfully explore Block Play.

This session will help you learn about attachment theory, the adult’s role in children’s wellbeing and coregulation, the effects of environment, routines, ACES, and trauma on children, and how to connect and respond to children therapeutically.

Parking
St. Pauls Children’s Centre: There is no on-site parking but parking is available on the road for £1 an hour for a maximum of 3 hours, or in Cabot Circus which is 5-minute walk from the St. Pauls Children’s Centre.
