At this Somerset Leaders Network, at Bridgwater College Nursery, we will have a guided tour before coming together for a reflective discussion on having difficult conversations and managing conflict — a theme chosen directly in response to feedback from our previous session, where attendees said they would like to look inside the nursery.

We will share ideas and explore:

• Practical strategies for communicating with clarity and empathy
• Handling challenging situations constructively
• Supporting positive team dynamics

We will also reflect on our own emotional responses to conflict, drawing on real workplace scenarios to share approaches to de-escalation and constructive dialogue.
