Using the beautiful simplicity of sociograms, this course will provide you with a visual representation of the relationships with the children in your setting. As early years educators and leaders of pedagogy, you are invited to deconstruct, confront, theorise, and potentially think otherwise about the significance of positive and nurturing relationships within the setting.

We will consider how mindful care routines might support communication and language, the power of non-verbal communication and learning the ‘conversational dance’.

This online course will support you to embed the Early Years Foundation Stage in your setting or school while ensuring that children and families are at the heart of good practice. These sessions will run across three Mondays in February 2025 and you must attend all three sessions.

This online session will help you support children and young people in understanding the different emotions they experience, why they occur, and how to handle them. We will consider Emotion Coaching as a strategy for supporting children’s behaviour and self-regulation and highlight research that demonstrates the value of an emotion coaching approach. There will be opportunities to explore the tools to practice emotion coaching with children.

Stronger Practice Hub Event
This session is for all Early Years practitioners, including Early Years settings, schools, and childminders. This online workshop will involve input about typical language development from speech and language therapists, followed by supportive discussion around strategies for support and useful resources.
This session will include a first look at the guidance, information about upcoming continual professional development opportunities for school-based nurseries with two-year-old provision and a chance to network with other schools with two-year-old early years provision.
