What can we learn when we intentionally view our setting through the eyes of a child? This online session invites Early Years leaders to explore how child-centred observation can become a powerful tool for continuous improvement. By stepping into the child’s experience, leaders will gain fresh insights into the quality of environments, interactions, routines, and learning opportunities within their provision.

Drawing on reflective practice and observation techniques, participants will examine how children’s perspectives can reveal strengths, identify barriers to engagement, and highlight opportunities to enhance wellbeing, belonging, and learning. The session will provide practical strategies for gathering evidence from a child’s viewpoint and using these insights to inform meaningful centre improvement planning.
