Stronger Practice Hub Event
Join us as we explore the role of the outdoor environment in supporting babies’ learning, development and wellbeing. Together, we will reflect on how thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces can nurture curiosity, relationships, movement and exploration across all areas of learning.
During the morning, we will observe outdoor practice within the host setting before coming together to reflect on what we have seen. We will also consider how everyday opportunities to get out and about can enrich babies’ experiences and support their sense of belonging within their local community.
Finally, we will explore a range of resources to help us reflect on and audit our outdoor learning environments, considering how our spaces can best support babies’ interests, development and wellbeing.
This training is for early years practitioners and leaders working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area (Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Somerset, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire). We will also prioritise settings and childminders in areas of deprivation.
