Respectful Care for 0-3 Year Olds – A Reflection on the Pikler Principles in Practice

Lakehouse Nursery and Preschool 49 Beach Road West, Portishead, United Kingdom

Stronger Practice Hub Event

Lakehouse Nursery is nestled at the corner of the Lakegrounds in Portishead. Situated in an old Victorian house and benefitting from beautiful surroundings, we provide outstanding care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years old. A few years ago, our team attended training on the Pikler Approach. We were bowled over by the level of respect and autonomy this afforded our youngest children and have implemented the Pikler principles ever since.
