Stronger Practice Hub Event
Wednesday 23rd June, Wednesday 7th July and Wednesday 21st July 2027 (6:15-8:15pm) – Attendees are expected to join all 3 sessions
This programme explores what it means to get it right for babies in early years settings. Participants will be supported to view provision through the eyes of the baby, considering how responsive relationships, high-quality care and thoughtfully planned environments create the foundations for learning, development and wellbeing.
The sessions encourage reflection on a pedagogy of care, babies ’rights and the importance of everyday routines, including sleep, feeding and personal care, as meaningful opportunities for connection, communication and learning.
Practitioners will explore safeguarding, the care of non-mobile babies, and how the EYFS themes The Unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments and Learning and Development come together to create nurturing, inclusive experiences for every baby.
This training is for early years practitioners and leaders working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area (Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Somerset, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire). We will also prioritise settings and childminders in areas of deprivation.
