Online Course

Due to COVID-19, most of our training is now offered as shorter, online sessions via Zoom. These sessions are fully interactive, therefore not webinars, and will all involve an element of self-reflection, and opportunities to question new theory and develop practice. The sessions are delivered in a way that facilitates learning conversations, makes connections and builds a supportive virtual learning community.

It is an ideal opportunity to come along to find out more about this impactful programme and how your setting and children can benefit and what it entails. We also have one or two settings lined up to talk about their experience with Maths Champions in their setting. So come along to hear more and ask your questions before you commit to the programme.

  • Back to Basics: Quality Interactions

    This session will explore the basics of effective, authentic and meaningful interactions with children in the EYs. We will cover what makes for quality interactions: the way we use our body and voice, how we listen, pause, and reflect on children’s learning with them. How can we deepen their thinking, provoke new learning and delight in the children’s fascinations? We will use the Quality Interaction Checklist to learn more about developing good practice, as well as guidance from the EEF Evidence Store.

CBeebies Parenting is a completely free resource created by the BBC, offering over 1,300 videos and articles full of expert advice, trusted content, and simple, fun activities to help boost children’s speech, language and communication – while also supporting parents and carers with everyday challenges like routines, potty training, emotional development and school readiness.

    We all sometimes get stuck when we need to say some hard things to people. This session will provide you with the opportunities to explore what might be stopping you from doing this, consider different ways of approaching and leading the conversation, and provide space to practice them.
