In this workshop, we will explore the term and popularity of Loose Parts Play and how it supports children’s fascinations, schema play, learning and development. Children can make sense of the world around them by exploring and investigating things that are current, relevant and interesting to them, as well as using natural resources in transient play.

This fun, inspiring and hands-on session aims to introduce you to child-led food exploration and give you ideas and practical insights to take back to your setting. It will also get you thinking about growing and exploring fresh produce, food insecurity, and the importance of this for young children. Each two-hour session will be led by Jo Ingleby, director of The Children’s Kitchen, who has 20 years of experience leading award-winning early years food programmes.

Parking
St. Pauls Children’s Centre: There is no on-site parking but parking is available on the road for £1 an hour for a maximum of 3 hours, or in Cabot Circus which is 5-minute walk from the St. Pauls Children’s Centre.
