Stronger Practice Hub Event

This session is for Nursery staff in PVIs or Nursery schools only.

This three-part course will support you to embed the Early Years Foundation Stage in your setting whilst ensuring that children and families are at the heart of good practice.

You will need to attend all three sessions as they are linked.

Session 1: January 11th, 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Session 2: January 18th 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Session 3: January 25th 4:00pm – 6:00pm

1- Principles of EYFS
We will explore the four themes of EYFS, Characteristics of Effective Learning, Prime areas and will make reference to the new early learning goals and reformed educational programmes in the EYFS

2- Observation, assessment, and planning
We will consider the principles of effective observational assessment and how this supports planning that supports all children to be motivated lifelong learners.

3- The Role of the Adult and an Enabling Environment
We will understand more about the key person approach, the importance of relationship-based practice and consider how to develop an effective learning environment.

This training is being run by the SPH.

It is Free for eligible practitioners.

Parking
St. Pauls Children’s Centre: There is no on-site parking but parking is available on the road for £1 an hour for a maximum of 3 hours, or in Cabot Circus which is 5-minute walk from the St. Pauls Children’s Centre.
