Understanding the Communication Needs of 2-Year-Olds (SALT Network Session)
Stronger Practice Hub Event
This session focuses on understanding the communication needs of two-year-olds and using responsive interaction strategies to support interaction and language development. We will discuss practical, responsive strategies to follow children’s interests, extend communication and turn daily routines into meaningful learning opportunities.
Please Note: This is one of series of SALT surgery sessions, with a mixture of input and discussion time. Each event is an individual session with unique content!
These sessions are for all Early Years practitioners, including Early Years settings, schools, and childminders. Each online workshop will feature input from speech and language therapists followed by a supportive discussion on strategies for support and valuable resources.
Sessions in this Series
This training is for early years practitioners and leaders working in settings or childminders in our Stronger Practice Hub area (Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Somerset, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire). We will also prioritise settings and childminders in areas of deprivation.
