Curiosity Circle with Kerry Murphy: Understanding and Addressing Ableism in the Early Years
Online CourseStronger Practice Hub Event
Our Guest Trainer for this Curiosity Circle is Kerry Murphy. The Curiosity Circle on Ableism in Early Years is a thought-provoking and interactive session designed to raise awareness and foster understanding of ableism in educational settings. Ableism refers to discrimination and prejudice against individuals with disabilities, often leading to exclusion and unequal treatment. During this session, participants will engage in open discussions to explore the concept of ableism and gain insight into how it manifests within our practice. Through examining practical examples, participants will develop a deeper understanding of the impact of ableism on neurodivergent and disabled children. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, and to consider the opportunities and challenges of anti-ableist practice.
