We will be covering the differences of working in a baby room to other age groups, building relationships with babies and their families, caring for babies, and respecting their rights, interacting with babies and practical elements of working with babies such as milk, weaning and safe sleeping arrangements.

Lakehouse Nursery is nestled at the corner of the Lakegrounds in Portishead. Situated in an old Victorian house and benefitting from beautiful surroundings, we provide outstanding care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years old. A few years ago, our team attended training on the Pikler Approach. We were bowled over by the level of respect and autonomy this afforded our youngest children and have implemented the Pikler principles ever since.

Parking
St. Pauls Children’s Centre: There is no on-site parking but parking is available on the road for £1 an hour for a maximum of 3 hours, or in Cabot Circus which is 5-minute walk from the St. Pauls Children’s Centre.
